Safety

We take every precaution to ensure that our workers maintain the utmost degree of safety at all times. Working with electrical systems in both commercial and industrial settings can be hazardous to our workers, the job site, and any other personnel present.

That’s why N Line Electric electricians undergo safety training on a regular basis, including re-certifications for safety practices, and daily safety meetings.

Safety in Oil and Gas

The Oil & Gas industry is one of the most dangerous in the country – we’re doing our part to minimize risk at oil and gas sites across two of the fastest-growing oil states.

We spend a lot of time at oil and gas sites so we’re familiar with the standard wear-and-tear that electrical systems will undergo. We understand the inherent danger of working with such volatile substances, and take every precaution to ensure the safety of you, your crew, and everyone who steps foot on your site.

N Line electricians receive annual training to keep them up to date with current safety best practices in addition to daily safety meetings. The OSHA-approved NFPA 70E training they receive qualifies them to identify and address potential and expected safety risks.

With an N Line Electric contractor at your Oil & Gas site, you can rest assured that every possible safety measure has been taken.

Electrical Distribution Safety

Whether we’re working above or below, we’re working safely.

Distribution of electric power presents its own unique set of risks and challenges that N Line electricians are trained to tackle.

In distributing electric power, our electricians typically must work with both high- and medium-voltage lines. Often their work entails creating the connections that convert high- and medium-voltage currents to medium- and low-voltage which can be used in homes, businesses, and other facilities.

Working with high- and medium-voltage lines is inherently dangerous – electricians working with these levels of voltage can face serious injury or death.

With such high stakes, it is our duty to supply our electricians with their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the proper training to effectively handle any and all situations, with an emphasis on mitigation of risk.

High voltage can mean high risk. That’s why N Line Electric is always highly prepared.

Substation Construction Safety

Build it efficient, build it safe.

As with distribution, substation construction means working primarily with medium- and high- voltage lines and equipment. This poses great risk both during and after construction of the substation.

N Line Electric contractors are familiar with the risks involved, and are trained to handle and ensure substation construction safety.

When the substation is complete, it will be compliant with all state and federal regulations, and will be have all necessary – and them some – precautions to ensure that the site remains safe.

Over time, equipment will begin to wear with use, creating potential safety risks. Keep this equipment and your substations safe with N Line’s Preventative Maintenance Program.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to Substation Construction Safety.

N Line Electric’s Certifications and Training

First Aid/CPR Training: Every N Line electrician is certified in both First Aid and CPR. They undergo re-certification compliant to both state and federal regulations.

OSHA: Our electricians are also required to attend at least a 10-hour OSHA training session, and many have completed 30-hour courses.

NFPA 70E Training: Our electricians are required to attend this training by the National Fire Protection Association every three years. NFPA 70E focuses on safety concerns and best practices for electricians working in commercial and industrial settings.

The standards and training created by the NFPA keep our electricians alert to potential hazards, able to assess risk quickly and appropriately, and to maintain an electrically safe work site.

With NFPA 70E training, N Line Electric’s staff are qualified to:

  • Effectively identify factors that influence electrical shock injuries
  • Understand the hazards of arc blasts
  • Identify safe work practices to prevent and avoid both shock and arc blast injuries
  • De-energize and lock-out systems that pose a potential hazard
  • Analyze shock, flash, arc blast hazards
  • Safely test electrical equipment

NFPA 70E training keeps N Line’s electricians up to date on best practices in the electrical field.

N Line Electric provides other training as needed, including:

  • Hazard Communication Training
  • Safeland Training
  • Lock-Out, Tag-Out
  • Aerial Lift
  • Fall Protection
  • Forklift Training

We are compliant with standards from IS Networld, PEC Premier, and PICs.

N Line Electric has also obtained Cost Containment Certification with the State of Colorado.
